Dcasting examples

For those journalists to be: Imagine you are part of the school newspaper and the college radio station; you are confined to the college. Want to stand out as an individual in a very competitive field? Start your own Dcast, have your voice be heard, and have your entire campus (and outside of the campus) tune into you. Talk about your opinions of things that happened to your favorite teacher that had an affair with a student, interview your star football player after winning the last game of the season, and have students calling in from their dorm rooms, where they are having a really intense game of beer pong (Beer Pong Championship Games). The possibilities are endless. Anyone in the world can watch, and they can also be on your show using a webcam.

Bloggers or online writers: Bloggers or online writers should use DarpaTV to enhance their existing blogs or website. DarpaTV broadcasts could add to the daily logs where your readers can join you live and post questions about your blog topics. The session will enhance, explain, and compliment your blog to offer more analysis on a certain subject or answer any questions readers might have. Readers can beam in with their opinions about the topic. Imagine Perez Hilton enriching his popular gossip site by interviewing some of the hottest celebrities that are being talked about on DarpaTV, while the viewers are beaming in and asking questions of their own, adding to the shocking gossip.

Podcasters: Podcasters can use DarpaTV, too. Instead of one-way podcasting, podcasters can add on DarpaTV, to further their recorded program. DarpaTV could take the place and become a “live podcast,” where interaction will enhance the subject matter and recording by allowing viewers to respond immediately by beaming into the program and offering their point of view. Later, the recorded DarpaTV show could be uploaded and released as the "podcast" for ondemand viewing.

Selling products: Imagine you have this great new product and a great group of loyal clients (it is time demanding answering emails of individual clients), but can’t get them all together because they live in different states in the US. Instead of traveling to California, New York, then to Florida and demonstrating your product multiple times over and over, you can stream a live feed from your home computer and demonstrate your product, having all of your clients watching at once from the comfort of their own home while being able to interact with you, spontaneously ask questions and get answers in real time. You will be able show a video clip of the new product in action with a click of the button. Not only will it be informative, but it will be entertaining too, just like your own interactive infomercial. It’s a real time saver and money-generator. It’s that simple.
